I’ve been playing!

Book 1 and the similar Book 2 (978-1-859-85979-7) came together and the "paint palette included" statement intrigued me as I had not met it before. I needed to have a go before I could write a review.

They are fun! With a not too wet brush you can get colour from the palette and the tubes of paint, so plenty for all the pictures. If you wanted to you could mix them on the palette as an artist would do. The pages are perforated so can be pulled out easily: before painting I would suggest. There is another illustration on the reverse side so each one is worth drying carefully before going on to another and do heed the warning to leave the book open to dry off the paint palettes!

With adequate adult supervision there are hours of fun here. Little ones would enjoy just splodging, older more dexterous children could produce lovely pictures.
