Heart to Heart
by Ali Martin, Liza Hoeksma
It is the nature of the strong heart, that like the palm tree, it strives ever upwards when it is most burdened. This is a fresh spirit rummage on matters of the heart: a great exploration of the importance and impact of Proverbs 4: 23. This is a matter of primal importance.
Martin and Hoeksma offer us lots in this, in a well edited, streamed tone that reflects connected thought and a lasting offering for the good of many from Soul Survivors big-impact ministry. "Sometimes we need to show our trust by the steps we're prepared to take to follow God's command."
The chapters on the trusting and surrendered heart are particularly strong. It's a short, pacey read particularly effective for a female readership. This book asks big questions around the understanding of our heart: an attitude of honesty before God about the need for our hearts to be transformed and renewed. It's full of inspiring stories and wise words and packed full of Biblical truth.
