Described as A MODEM Guide, MODEM is an organisation that brings together leaders from business and the churches for mutual learning and support. Healthy churches ought to be growing churches. When you are in a leadership position books of ideas are always welcome, and this is one of them. Ideas here range from the very simple to the more complex and cover a wide range of leadership and church experience. There are ideas about being, about enabling, about learning, about planning and many other topics. It's very much a 'how to' book and the contributors are experts in their respective fields. Some names may be familiar, e.g. John Sentamu, but many others will be unknown. All of them, however, contribute extremely useful ideas, case studies and reflections on a great variety of issues that impinge on what it means to be a healthy church: one that lives, grows and serves together as God's people. This book is a must for any church leader looking for wisdom, insight and fresh ideas, and to find a place on many a ministerial bookshelf.
