Review:
This short book of only 88 pages is offered as a hope for hurting parents and as such it works well. Each small chapter is in effect a look at why not to give up hope that your child, usually adult child, will come to Christ. These gentle meditations offer a blend of scripture, prose and anecdote to show how change can happen in peopleís hearts in time. It also offers encouragement to carry on praying and talking to your children, even in the face of rejection and discouragement, not only from them but often from society at large also.
However mostly the aim of this book is to offer comfort to the parents and encouragement at the same time, pointing out that there are numerous reasons for unbelief and yet our God is so much bigger that he can effect change in all peoples lives, even up until the last moment. It's a simply written book that has a good style to it and I think would make a welcome gift to people who feel the burden of their childrenís rejection of their parentís faith.
