Christ Set Forth and The Heart of Christ in Heaven Towards Sinners on Earth

by Thomas Goodwin

Price: £12.99
Publisher:Christian Heritage imprint of Christian Focus
This is the Christian Heritage edition of two of Goodwin’s treatises. They are preceded here by ‘A primer on Reformed Theology’ by Mark Jones. The latter is valuable in itself and as a pointer to Goodwin’s thought on the person of Jesus Christ. The reader would do well to ponder this very dense ‘essay’, and then to look at the treatises. Goodwin deserves to be better known. ‘He became a close advisor to Oliver Cromwell.....and ministered to him at the time of his death in 1658,’ writes J.I.Packer in his Foreword. Did he minister some of the thoughts and teachings here set forth?
