Through The Year With Who Let The Dads Out?
A Years Worth Of Ideas For Reaching Out To Dads And Their Pre-School Children
by Mark Chester & Tony Sharp
Publisher:Barnabas imprint of BRF
Published:23 May 2014
In true Dad style, this book does exactly as it says on the tin... It is a guidebook to take you through the year with a 'Who Let The Dads Out?' group.
It is by no means restricted to that purpose, but its lay out and content focus on that as its primary aim—and rightly so, it is the title of the book.
The structure of the book, with monthly themes, reflection material and step by step guides through engaging activities, lends itself well to those who need a format to follow. A very practical requirement when organising such a group.
However they interject this format with ideas pages, discussion starters and most importantly Top Ten lists. Whilst encouraging the set up and establishment of a 'Dads' group, the material is totally adaptable to any generic version of such a group or even to your own family life with your children.
If you are a male adult carer of young children searching for discussion topics and activity ideas to engage in within your family, church community or wider social group, then this book provides the material to get you well on your way.
