Cassock in the Kitchen

by Mary B Morrison

Price: £5.00(plus P&P)
This memoir is the story of Mary Morrison’s calling to be an ordained Minister at a time when it was not permissible in her church. Following the example of other women, she was prepared to change denomination, but gladly changed back when the rules of her original church, The Church of Scotland, allowed women’s ordination.
By this time a married woman with a supportive husband and children, she moved from post to post fulfilling her calling. Clearer reproduction of the photographs would have enhanced the text, but no matter, this is a valuable record of one of the first women to have the role of Minister in the Church of Scotland and an interesting read.

This can be ordered by email: £5.00 plus £2 p&p
