The Destination is In Sight
by Patrick Coughlin
Patrick Coghlan's book endeavours to portray a Christianity that connects with everyday life. He does this through a study of a selection of John's New Testament writings beginning with the 'I am' sayings of Jesus, moving on to the Johannine Letters and the seven churches in Revelation, with a final section selected from Revelation.
Subtitled, "The challenge of the Kingdom according to John's writings" the book focuses on the meaning and nature of the Kingdom of God and how that understanding should shape Christian life.
The book is neither commentary nor theological treatise on the, texts but nevertheless provides a user-friendly resource encouraging reflection on the relevance of a New Testament understanding of the Kingdom of God for 21st century Christian life and witness.
