No Ceiling to Hope

Stories of Grace from the Worlds Most Dangerous Places

by Patrick Regan with Liza Hoeksma

A brilliant book. The author takes you to the lowest places, yet at the end there are still things to be hopeful for. You do not realise how lucky you are.
The people in this book are inspirational: no matter what, they did not lose hope, whether it was helping drug addicts, to opening schools and being threatened by gangs. It also made me think about people in this country, the young people in our inner cities, not just taking people on face value but to look beyond the attitude to see why the people are like this. Throughout the book it was a rollercoaster of emotions.
It really made me think and hopefully, that is what this book was trying to achieve.
