Review:
For life is not a progression of fixed points. In fact, stable times actually are the exception; transition is the norm!

Life, according to renowned Christian counsellor H Norman Wright, is a series of transitions. "Yet no matter what we feel in a given moment or during a given season, our identity and purpose at any age comes through relationship -- not specifically with a friend or mentor or parent or spouse or anyone here, but directly with Jesus Christ."

Wright offers twenty-four possible losses or events that you might not expect even though some are definitely inevitable. Throughout his book, Wright offers practical advice on how to navigate the second half of life successfully. To help us take the meaning and usefulness of this deeper, Wright sprinkles questions and exercises throughout the book and adds a study guide at the end to facilitate discussion. Transitions are challenging. Life's chapters are much like being in the middle of a novel. Each chapter seeks to engage with differing themes that require engagement and thought, rather than passivity and just letting life happen.

Dry, effective, mixing information and inspiration.
