Listening For God's Call

Learning Church Theology For Discipleship And Ministry Series

This is a great book that probably fills quite a large gap in the Anglican market to some degree, many of us may feel what we think is a call to ministry, but what we don't really know is what sort of ministry... this book can help as it works through what the call is, what discipleship is and entails, and then looks at what sorts of ministry there are - both lay and ordained. It uses real people examples before looking deeper at the specifics of the subjects and then posing some questions in the To Do sections scattered throughout.
Admittedly this book is designed to be used in the context of part of a Discipleship and Ministry setting, however it's a great first step for anyone pondering if they have a calling and what it might be, or actually even if they just want to know more about the different types of ministry found in the anglican communion.
I'd certainly suggest it would be a good book for ministers to have on their shelves to loan out when they get asked about vocation and calling, let alone an essential book for Discipleship and Mission teams.
