Pray, Sing, Worship

A Picture Book for Holy Communion

Extracts from Common Worship and illustrations by Chantal Stewart

Price: £4.99
Publisher:SPCK (Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge)
Published:November 2011
With some children now receiving communion at an early age and with others needing to understand what is going on around them this slim approx. 210mm square paperback is ideal for a child to have with them during the service.
Each section of the service is accompanied by lively illustrations showing joyful, serious, prayerful children and adults according to the part being illustrated.
With the help of an adult a child could be led into a deeper understanding than just listening to strange and possibly meaningless words being recited by those around them. We adults forget what a strange service Holy Communion can be for one who has not had it explained. This book could be a real help during the service if talked about prior to attending church.
