Making the Most of the Lectionary

A Users Guide

by Thomas O’Loughlin

Price: £12.99
Publisher:SPCK (Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge)
Published:March 2012
One of the most impressive achievements of the liturgical changes of the 20th century was the compilation of the lectionary? It deserves the stand alone title since it has been adopted across so many churches, with ,of course, greater or lesser modification/revision. Seemingly produced in five years as a result of an initiative of the Second Vatican Council, it has stood the test not only of time, but of repeated use. O’Loughlin guides his readers through many aspects of this phenomenon, including its complexities, in this attractive book which deserves a place on every priest/minister’s bookshelf, and many a lay-persons as well. It will reward regular use.
