Journeying With Matthew

Lectionary year A

by Ed james Woodward, Paula Gooder, Mark Pryce

Price: £9.99
Publisher:SPCK (Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge)
Published:September 2013
I really like the way this book is set out. The three authors work extremely well together to open up the Lectionary readings from Matthew through the year. There is a helpful introduction to the Gospel at the beginning and then each chapter has the same framework:Exploring the text, Imagining the text and reflecting on the text. I gained some new insights into Matthew and in particular enjoyed the reflective section. At the end of the chapter are some questions which are helpful if the book is being used by a group. This is a useful and stimulating resource and one I can recommend.
