What A World
by Compiler & Editor Geoffrey Duncan, Textile Art Pamela Pavitt
Readers familiar with Duncanís anthologies can expect this latest volume to exhibit all the hallmarks of his previous books. It offers a collection of poems, prayer and meditations in a package that has a great deal of visual impact. In fact, the appearance is aided considerably by use of Pavittís eye-catching textile art, which is used to illustrate the central theme of the work. This hinges upon a concern to nurture the environment and honour Godís creation. Some of the contributors communicate their message with more success than others, of course, but there is enough good stuff to warrant deep engagement with the contents.
