When each day brings a new report in the press of how this country is less and less informed about our faith, it is interesting to read this book which tries to explain why! Very few people of any age know the Christian story, why we celebrate Easter and Christmas in religious terms and the relevance of Christianity in our lives yet alone why some people wished to become Priests! In an age where David Beckham is better known that Rowan Williams, it is hardly surprising that we need this little book to give us some ways into the spreading of the gospel message in the 21st Century. We need to seek out ways of understanding the modern world so that we preach to the modern world and the people who inhabit it. This book gives ways of understanding how we can reach a public and share some important knowledge; that alone could be the way forward to a generation of those who do not understand or have never been taught about God. Try it and see.
