Barnabas Fund
The mission of the Barnabas Fund is to support Christians where they are in a minority and suffer discrimination, oppression and persecution as a consequence of their faith. Our goal is to strengthen Christian individuals, churches and their communities by providing material and spiritual support in response to needs identified by local Christian leaders.
We do this by making their needs known to Christians around the world, by encouraging prayer and financial giving in support of these brothers and sisters in Christ, working with existing local Christian organisations, and by speaking on their behalf. The Fund channels this aid from donors to the needy recipients with minimum overheads. All gifts are monitored to ensure they are used in line with the stated need.
In accordance with Biblical teaching, we believe that Christians should treat all people of all faiths with love and compassion, even those who persecute them.

Bringing Hope works with churches to address issues related to a lifestyle of guns, drugs, knives and gangs. Their aim is to see churches transform these lives, build community cohesion and restore family ties by working in partnership with each other and various networks from the private, statutory and voluntary sectors.
Their vision is based on Luke 4 v 18 from the Bible where Jesus declares that He has a purpose to heal the broken hearted, release the captives and recover the sight for the blind.
They believe that family and community brokenness, emotional imprisonment and blindness are at the root of guns, drugs and gangs and because of what Jesus says we, as a Church, are equipped to deal with these challenges.

And there is Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. Many areas of work are best tackled for Britain and Ireland as a whole rather than in the separate nations. Habitat for Humanity
Every morning one third of the world’s population, that’s two billion people, will wake up in appalling poverty, squalid, spirit-crushing poverty. Most were born into those conditions and many will die in them, too many will die as a consequence of them.
Poverty housing damages people’s lives in so many ways. It’s dirty, smelly and often unsafe, it affects people’s health and wellbeing; their children’s education; their employment prospects. But most of all, poverty housing traps people in poverty and robs them of hope and opportunity. It oppresses the soul and keeps the poorest people poor.
In 1976 Habitat for Humanity was founded with the sole aim of tackling poverty housing on a global scale. Thirty years later we are working in 92 countries around the world and have built 225,000 homes in partnership with people in need of simple, decent housing.
